‘US mixes in EU-belastingzaak Apple
The U.s. government would start to mix in a large belastingzaak between Brussels and techgigant Apple.
That tells an anonymous source to Reuters.
The EU forced Apple in August to 13 billion euros in taxes to the Irish tax authorities. Belastingafspraken in Ireland, according to Brussels, this is not correct, giving the company too little tax had been paid.
The techbedrijf went against the EU’s decision on appeal. Now would be the U.s. government itself in that profession like to mix.
The appeal between Apple and Brussels by the end of 2018 appear before the judge.
It is unclear what the U.S. wants to achieve by the case to close. The Obama administration was critical about the decision of Europe.
The current government of Trump has a belastingdeal proposed for a 2.6-trillion dollar companies currently in the overseas to save.
