United States for the sixth time attachment to Gold Cup
The United States for the sixth time in the Gold Cup won. The team of coach Bruce Arena defeated Wednesday (local time) Jamaica 2-1 in the final of the biennial championship of the Concacaf.
The US arrived in Santa Clara on the stroke of rest on 1-0 by Jozy Altidore. The former player of AZ shot a free kick over the wall in the upper left corner, is untenable for goalkeeper Dwayne Miller of Jamaica. The reservekeeper had early in the match substitute for the injured washed up Andre Blake.
Halfway through the second half came the Jamaicans at the same height. Je-Vaughn Watson tapped in from a corner.
Just before time to beat the Americans again. With a shot distance brought Jordan Morris the Gold Cup after the victory of Mexico in 2015 back to the US.

The United States have Saturday night reached the final of the Gold Cup.
The host country won with 2-0 of Costa Rica, thanks to a goal by Clint Dempsey (photo).
The Americans won the tournament five times previously.

Mexico, with seven toernooizeges still record holder in the Gold Cup, where the best teams from North, Central America and the Caribbean to compete against each other. Except Mexico and the USA won Canada only the tournament once.
Curaçao took this year for the first time at the tournament, but lost all three group matches.
