United States ask you to arrest brother Ban Ki-moon
The United States and South Korea requested the brother of former secretary-general of the UN Ban Ki-moon to arrest and to extradite. This is reported by the American prosecutor Daniel Noble on Friday (local time).
Ban Ki-sang (69) and his son, Joo Hyun-bahn (38), nicknamed Dennis, are accused of attempted bribery. Ban Ki-sang had as an advisor to the South Korean contractor Keangnam his son as a real estate agent to hire to the sale of a building complex in Hanoi.
Father and son paid the then $ 500,000 to the self-styled art and fashion consultant Malcolm Harris (52). That would be as a liaison officer in the Middle East, bribery and the sale control of the Vietnamese real estate to an investment fund of a royal family from the Middle East. Harris gave the money, however, to air travel, hotel stays, dinners, and the rent for apartments in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Harris and Joo Hyun-bahn, both of which are stuck in New York, denying to be guilty.
The case comes at an inopportune time for the recently UN-departed Ban Ki-moon, who is a candidate wants to make in the upcoming presidential elections in his country.
