Ubisoft lowers sales expectations for 2016 after a disappointing quarter

Ubisoft has released the figures published for the third quarter of 2016, ending on december 31. The turnover is disappointing, and the company thinks that it is because in the last few months a lot of new hardware is launched.

In the third quarter of 2016, Ubisoft has 529,9 million euros converted, the company Thursday announced (pdf). In comparison with a year ago, this is a decline of 6 percent. Ubisoft had expected a turnover of 560 million euro.

The company claims that for the past month a lot of new gaminghardware is released, including the PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, and PlayStation VR. This should make gamers less money have kept for games.

The spellenmaker has the turnover expectations for the full financial year adjusted to 1.46 billion to 1.5 billion euro, of € 1.61 billion to 1,67 billion euro. The reduction has to do with the disappointing sales of the third quarter.

Watch Dogs 2
