TfL said the new, two-month license is provided by “new conditions, and to provide for the safety and security of passengers,” and wanted to find out more information on the company’s business.

Uber said it will work closely with TfL and to provide any additional information.
“We will continue to listen, learn, and improve, in order to provide the best service, as a trusted partner in London,” said Jamie Heywood, Uber’s Regional General Manager for North america and western Europe.

Uber received a five-year license in 2012, but the co-ride-from-service ice cream Parlor was only a 15-month right of use of the earlier this year, in a sign that the regulator wants to have more power than the new-comers.
Mayor, Sadiq Khan, who is also the chairman of TfL, has been a long-time critic of Uber, told LBC radio last month, and that they need to play by the rules.
“You know, my track record stands up against the big boys, and they are his servants, and to make sure that everyone is playing by the rules,” he told his listeners to phone-in. “I don’t care how many lawyers you have, or how big the PR budget.
