Uber launches Thursday a new service for meal delivery in Brussels: UberEATS. Orders will not be delivered by car, but by bike and by scooter.
Through the UberEATS-app can the inhabitants of Brussels from Thursday, 20 October, daily between 11.00 am and 23.00 hours in the evening meals to order.
We start with a wide range of good quality local restaurants and hundreds of couriers who take the orders by bike or scooter will deliver, says Uber in a statement. Order meals through UberEATS is as easy as ordering an Uber ride, adds the company.
Users select the restaurant and the dish of your choice, and follow the status of their order via the app, see live on the map where the order is and a UberEATS-courier delivers the meal to the door.
As with the Uber app is the invoice to the e-mail address of the user sent. Filip Nuytemans, General Manager UberEATS Expansion Markets: “We are already more than 2.5 years in Brussels and know the city like no other. This knowledge and experience we now apply to the delivery of meals. With UberEATS, we offer the inhabitants of Brussels will be an affordable service of good quality. So we are asking no delivery and there is currently no minimum order amount.”
Restaurants in the Belgian capital, can use the UberEATS platform, their meals are provided to all Uber-users offer. “Tens of thousands of people in Brussels make weekly use of the regular Uber app. Anyone with an existing Uber account, automatically has a UberEATS account and can login directly.”
