Liam Glinane, a 63-year-old EMT, suffered a stroke while driving a FIRE ambulance, and the difference is in the way. When crews responded, EMS Lt., Raymond Cheek, and fell into a stupor, and had an aortic aneurysm.
Two of the New York City Employees were in critical condition Thursday night after they were affected by a separate medical emergency at the same crash while on the job.
“It’s a very, very tragic accident,” FIRE Commissioner Daniel Nigro said. “Fortunately, both of these members are in a position to be carried, and are still with us. This is somewhat surprising, in view of the serious nature of each of these terms and conditions.”
The officials said that the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) EMT Stages Glinane, 63, is the transportation of an ambulance and, by itself, move from one location to the other, when he suffered a stroke at around 1:30 p.m. while driving on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway in the borough of Queens.
The stroke caused him to veer off the road and he crashed into another vehicle, according to the FDNY. Officials said that the crash was small, and was not to be the cause of a medical condition.

FIRE officials said EMS Lt., Raymond Wang, 47, was in a separate ambulance to do a ride-along to a doctor if they have stopped to assist after the crash, which involved Glinane. Wang suddenly became unconscious, officials said.
“Lieutenant,” Raymond ” Wang, it was to comment on the incident when he arrived on the scene for the treatment of the EMPLOYEES Glinane, and that he was suffering from an abdominal aortic aneurysm,” Nigro told reporters, in Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, where he and the New York city Mayor Bill de Blasio provided an update on the two SAID members.

The officials said Wang, a 19-year veteran of the FDNY, and remained in a critical condition.
“M Glinane was transported to Mt. In the Sinai peninsula, in the borough of Queens, and then moved to Mount Sinai in Manhattan for further treatment, as a result of a stroke. Our thoughts and prayers are with the both of them,” Nigro said.

De Blasio said the Glinane, who has served the city for 28 years, was in critical but stable condition.
Officials from the city said: “it is a strange coincidence that both social workers, experienced medical conditions, at the same time.
“I ask all New Yorkers to keep these two men and their families in your thoughts and prayers, this is absolutely crucial and sensitive time,” the Mayor of New York, Bill the Blasio said at a news conference.
