Two million euros for new antibiotics
The government makes two million euros for the development and production of new antibiotics.
An international collaboration (the Global Antibiotic Research and Development nership – GARDP) goes to the battle, reported minister Edith Schippers of public Health.
By careless use of antibiotics is more often that the drug will not work. To prevent ziekteveroorzakers to become resistant to new antibiotics must be possible to be used. As a result, the development is not attractive for pharmaceutical companies.
