Two Houston police officers were injured, burned in crash

HPD tweeted late Sunday evening that two police officers are injured from a car accident.

Two Houston police officers suffered serious injuries and burns after crashing into two parked cars Sunday night late in the evening, the city police announced via Twitter.

An officer was transported by Life Flight, while the other officer was transported by an ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

The police said that the crash took place on 10100 Telephone Road and the patrol on fire.

A public information officer was on the way to the hospital. HPD was not available at Fox News’ request for comment.
