Twice in the parts of the body, and twice the cuteness.

A two-headed turtle and spotted young were found in Hilton Head Island, S. C., on Wednesday, the Fox 46 In Charlotte reports.

The Non-profit sea Turtle Patrol on Hilton Head Island, posted the cute photo on Facebook on Wednesday, adding in a caption, that is, even though the change is more likely to occur in reptiles, it is still very rare.

The two-headed turtle is perplexed researchers in the field.

“We thought we had seen it all in during this very busy season of the Sea Turtle Patrol. Yesterday, on patrol or at a nest in the inventory of this bicephalic young, it was discovered,” Sea Patrol wrote up.

The organization added that the two-headed baby turtle was found at the nest-stock. The turtle, named Squirt, and Crush, were released back into the ocean.

The sea turtle nesting season is in full swing, experts are warning that artificial lighting, like home lighting, mobile phones and digital cameras, represent a significant risk to the species.
