Two Germans died while climbing Mont Blancmassief
Two German climbers died in an attempt a summit of Mont Blancmassief to achieve. Their bodies are Wednesday salvaged. A spokesman of the bergpolitie of Chamonix said that hypothermia is the cause of death.
The two mountaineers from around 40 year would a Monday morning in the early hours (02: 00) their shelter have to leave to get to the top of the Mont Blanc du Tacul, 4248 m high. They took a difficult route, via the so-called Duivelsgraat.
Other mountaineers have the duo around 14.00 hours.
Worried family members alerted the rescue service Tuesday night.
How the accident could happen is a mystery. The men seem to have a lot more time than usual under good conditions. The weather on the mountain hit until Monday night.
