Two band members of Pussy Riot arrested at a demonstration Jakoetsk

Two members of the activist Russian punk band Pussy Riot are Monday near the Siberian city of Jakoetsk arrested. For the entrance of the prison, they demonstrated for the release of Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov.

Olga Borisova and Maria Aljochina have Sunday, with bivakmutsen on a banner with “Free Sentsov’ to the bridge near the prison hung. Also they put there colored smoke bombs. Via Twitter reported Borisova that they are “to the police explanation would give the demonstration”.

The Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov comes from the peninsula of Crimea and in 2015 by the Russian government for alleged terrorism to twenty years in prison convicted. Internationally there are many artists who are release to bet with.

Pussy Riot is known for its bold performances in 2012 against Russian president Vladimir Putin and his government.

Two of the three band members were for a performance in a Russian cathedral to two years in prison, sentenced for “hooliganism and religious hatred”. In 2013 they came back pretty.
