Twitter and deemphasize, to label a politician tweets that break rules

WASHINGTON/SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Twitter Inc’s (TWTR.N) said on Thursday it would be to identify and to deemphasize the tweets that broke the rules, but that came from the major sources, such as politicians, in order to strike a balance between freedom of speech and expression, and accountability.

Twitter said the new rules would apply to politicians and government officials, with more than 100,000 followers.

“We will now have to clearly label all of the tweets that are in violation of our terms of use, but decided to stay as a result of the interests of the public,” Twitter’s Chief Executive Officer, Jack Dorsey, said.

As highlighted in a report should relate to the offending tweet, and it will require a user to click on a link to view it.

The critics said on the social media platform, it has not done enough to police the tweets of various politicians, that would have to be removed, as a typical user, that is, they have to be placed. Some people have called on Twitter to take the nasty tweets from the US President, when He, and other politicians, as He and other conservatives have repeatedly accused the technology companies of the favour of the liberals.

He has more than 61 million followers on Twitter, and the tweets are in the news.

“Yes, there are some cases where it is in the interests of the public to have access to some Tweets, even if they would otherwise be in violation of our rules,” Twitter said in a blog post.

She added: “We have put a notice a display, you must click or tap on it before the Tweet, additional context and clarity.” The notice will appear in the home timeline, and in other areas as well, such as, search, Twitter also said.

A Twitter spokeswoman said to a human reviewer, you will have to decide on these tweets, are not the artificial intelligence of the monitoring process. If a violation is found, a task force of the two teams would dominate, or the questionable tweet, it should be considered to be in the public interest.

He was criticized last month when he tweeted: “If Iran wants to fight, that’s the official end of the Kingdom. Will never be a threat to the United States of america again.” He was referring to a former FBI agent who, last year, as “ill results”.

In a further example of a tweet than a lot of critics find it to be offensive, He wrote that by 2018, the North Korean Leader, Kim Jong-Un, the Nuclear Button is in his office, at all times,” and asked if someone could “tell him that I have a Nuclear Button, but it’s a lot bigger and stronger than his, and my a Button is working!”

Twitter also added that “there are cases, such as imminent threat of violence, or incitement to violence against a person, who is not likely to be considered to be in the public interest.”

The White House did not immediately have a comment. A Trump spokesman said this week that the White House is planning a July 11, the social media summit, but it has not yet been identified the participants.

He said in a television interview on Wednesday, without providing evidence, that Twitter is the “very, very difficult for people to join you on Twitter … and they will make it a lot harder for me to get the message out.” He added: “with Twitter, it is just awful what they are doing.” Twitter declined to comment.
