‘Turkey and Russia invite US for peace talks Syria’
Turkey and Russia have the United States decided to invite for talks about Syria in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The Turkish minister Mevlut Cavusoglu of Foreign Affairs has, in consultation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov decided the Americans to invite, report Turkish media. The Kurdish parties by Turkey outside of the interviews.
Spokesman Mark Toner, the White House had earlier in the day, yet know not an invitation to have had for the peace talks.
The Syrian opposition, united in the High Negotiations Committee (HNC) has on Saturday expressed support for the discussions in Astana.
In addition to Russia and Turkey are also representatives of Iran and Syria to the table. The calls will be from the 23rd January held in the capital of Kazakhstan.
The HNC hopes that the calls for a stepping-stone for further negotiations in Geneva on a diplomatic solution to the conflict in Syria. On 31 december a new cease-fire went into Syria, which largely maintains.
