Tunisia further on Africa Cup favorite Algeria home

Tunisia has Monday thanks to a 4-2 victory at Zimbabwe qualified for the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup. Favorite Algeria played with 2-2 equal against the already-placed Senegal and killed all in the group stage.

Algeria knew in advance that it was going to be difficult to the last eight to reach the African titeltoernooi in Gabon. In the first two duels had the favorite namely only one point collected.

To the quarter-finals to pick up had to be the self of Senegal win, while Tunisia as well and had to go against Zimbabwe.

Senegal, both previous group games had already won and therefore already sure of a place in the last eight, played, certainly not in the strongest possible set up.

Islam Slimani put Algeria after a ten-minute lead, but by Papakouli Diop was Senegal just before half-time at 1-1. Once again Slimani took Algeria, a new lead, but that did not last. Now it was Moussa Sow who directly gelijkmaakte. That hit was Algeria, not more.

Senegal was already sure of the quarter-finals, but gave himself at the outset won.

Islam Slimani put Algeria in the lead, but a lot of it helped not.

Tunisia placed himself by a victory against Zimbabwe, for the quarter-finals.

The duel with Zimbabwe yielded, nevertheless, a lot of hard duels.

Tunisia led against Zimbabwe quickly with 3-0. Naim Sliti, Youssef Msakni and Taha Yassine Khenissi ensured that large lead.

Zimbabwe, with Marvelous Nakamba of Vitesse in the base, did for peace through Knowledge Musonda, but Wahbi Khazri increased the margin from a penalty back to three. Tendai Ndoro certain position then at 2-4.

Sunday knew Burkina Faso and Cameroon are also places for the quarter-finals. Guinea-Bissau and host country Gabon were killed. Ghana, after two group matches already.
