TUI flies from February to the Gambia

Tour operator TUI will this month be no flights any more to offer on the Gambia. That sets spokesman Pieter Demeyere Tuesday night. Had he even know that there is only the coming days a decision in this regard would fall.


The federal public service Foreign Affairs decided Tuesday to view the travel advice for the West African country to change after the incumbent president Yahya Jammeh, yet the country had to leave. Now his travel to the Gambia again.

TUI had last week more than 250 tourists in the country that were recovered after the state of emergency was declared. All flights to the Gambia were suspended until 31 January. This now continues to maintain, ” says Demeyere. “Many customers had their trip already rebooked. Therefore, we have decided to adjust again in February to the Gambia to fly.”

Also Thomas Cook, that but three of the tourists in the country, look at the next few days or sooner than scheduled flights to the Gambia takes over.

There are tourists, however, still recommended to the actuality on the foot to follow. “Stay in regular contact with your tour operator, you hold aloof from public events and demonstrations, and avoid sensitive political issues in the public,” reads the opinion.
