President Trump is John Brennan’s security clearance
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, reads a statement of President of trumpet, and the former Director of the CIA, John Brennan cited ‘erratic behavior.’
On Wednesday, the President, Trump announced he would revoke the former Director of the CIA, John Brennan ‘ s security clearance. Below the President, for the full explanation.
As the head of the Executive and commander-in-chief, I have access to a unique Constitutional responsibility for the protection of classified information of the Nation, including through taxes. Today, in fulfilling this responsibility, I have decided to withdraw from the security review of John Brennan, the former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
Historically, the former head of the intelligence and law enforcement agencies allowed to keep, access to classified information, in accordance with their public service so that you will be with your successors in respect of matters about which they have special knowledge-as a professional courtesy.
None of these justifications, Mr. Brennan continues to support access to classified information. First of all, the advantage is at this point in my administration, that senior officials could be a bit of a consultation with Mr. Brennan. are now outweigh the risks due to his erratic behavior Second, that behavior, and the behavior tested, and went far beyond the limits of the professional courtesy that is due to him.
Mr. Brennan has a history that calls into question his objectivity and credibility. In 2014, for example, it denies to Congress, the CIA officials, who had under his supervision, in order to the computer files of Congress handles-employees. He said that the Council on Foreign relations that the CIA would never do such a thing. The CIA General inspector, however, disagreed with Mr. Brennan directly, the conclusion is clearly that officials of the Agency had, in fact, incorrect congressional staffers ” files accessed. More recently, Mr. Brennan, Congress said that the intelligence services make use of the so-called Steele Dossier in an assessment in relation to the election in 2016, a claim refuted by at least two other high-ranking officials in the intelligence community and all the facts.
FULL STORY: TRUMP LIFTS BRENNAN’S SECURITY CLEARANCE
In addition, Mr. Brennan has used recently, his status as a former high-ranking official with access to highly sensitive information, a series of unfounded and insolent insinuations – the wild outbreaks on the internet and television about this administration. Mr Brennan ‘ s lie, and the last behavior, characterized by increasingly insane comment, is quite incompatible with access to the Nation’s most closely guarded secrets, and facilitates the ultimate goal of our opponents, which is to sow division and chaos.
More generally, the question of Mr. Brennan ‘ s security clearance raises larger questions about the practice of former officials, maintaining access to our Nation’s most sensitive secrets, was long after their time in government. This access is particularly inappropriate to use when former officials who have changed, in a very partisan positions, real or perceived, to check the access to sensitive information, their political attacks. Any access to our Nation’s secrets should in the promotion of national, not personal interests. For this reason, I’ve begun to check the more General question of access to classified information from former officials.
As part of this review, I’m of the evaluation of actions with respect to the following persons: James Clapper, James Comey, Michael Hayden, Sally Yates, Susan Rice, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa page, and Bruce’s ear. Security checks for those who can still call you, and those who have already lost their security clearance may not be able to get it back on.
It is to deny for the above reasons, I have exercised my Constitutional authority, Mr. Brennan access to classified information, and I will directly make a suitable employee of the National security Council to make the necessary arrangements with the relevant authorities, the implementation of this provision.
