President Trump escalated his criticism of the FBI and the Russia-tasting on Saturday, claiming, “a great leak, lies, and corruption” from the Bureau and other agencies, and shots fired former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and ex-Director, James Comey.

The result: an equally fiery response from former intelligence officials.

McCabe was fired late Friday after an internal investigation found that he can be an unauthorized leak to the media and “lacked sincerity”, if you look for to investigators under oath. His release came only a few days before he would be entitled to a pension for life.

He is crowned also, both McCabe and Comey, of which he is accused, the hypocritical and “know everything about the lies and the corruption goes to the highest levels of the FBI!”

On Saturday was followed by, to say that McCabe was “caught up, called and cheered” and made reference to the financing of McCabe Mrs 2015 senatorial bid by a political action committee of then-Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe-a close Hillary Clinton ally.

The FBI has said that McCabe received the necessary ethics approval about his wife’s candidacy and was not monitored in the Clinton investigation at the time.

On another front, Trump’s personal attorney, John Dowd, issued a statement on Saturday morning, the Deputy General Prosecutor Rod Rosenstein calls, who is monitoring the FBI Special Counsel Robert Mueller investigation of the possible Russian interference in the elections of 2016 is to shut down the probe to. His testimony also took a swipe at the Comey triggered by Trump, who in may 2017.

While Dowd made it clear later that he speaks in his personal capacity and not the expression of trump, the view, Trump appeared to give implicit support of the lawyer’s thinking when he said that the house Intelligence Committee had concluded, there was “no collusion between Russia and the trump campaign” (In fact, only Republicans had reached the Committee that the completion of the top Democrat on the Committee, Adam Schiff noted in his own tweet on Saturday.)

Carl Tobias, a law professor at the University of Richmond, told Fox News that Dowd of the comments seem like a new phase in the trump team, the attitude towards the Mueller probe.

“It also seems important that the timing coincides with McCabe’s shoot, so we can probably expect that there is increasing pressure on [Rosenstein] to the end of the Miller inquiry, although McCabe’s actions were only peripherally with Mueller’s work,” he said.

FBI officials reacted angrily to the dismissal. McCabe described the cancellation as part of a “war” against the FBI.

“This attack on my credibility is said to be a part of a larger effort to denigrate not only in order to ruin me personally, but the FBI, law enforcement, and intelligence professionals in General,” McCabe.

“It is part of this government’s war on the FBI and the efforts of the Special Counsel’s investigation, which continued up to the present day. Your tenacity in this campaign only underscores the importance of the Special Counsel work,” he added.

To add more intrigue, a source close to McCabe told Fox News on Saturday that he memos memorializing kept his interactions with the trombone, in a way that was very similar to the method Comey his own notes.

Comey also weighed in, in a Twitter post that also pointed to his upcoming tell-all book: “A Higher loyalty.”

The former Director of the CIA, John Brennan, who is known for his outspoken criticism of Trump, also weighed in — rays Trump, dramatic and colorful language, and promised that “America will triumph over you.”

Democrats quickly of the officials supported. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, expressed concern about the state of the FBI investigation itself, says Dowd’s testimony to show that the Trump team is looking to “undermine [Müller] on every corner.”

“The President, the administration, and his legal team do not have to crop all of the steps, to not disturb, or at the end of the special counsel investigation, or there will be serious consequences from both Democrats and Republicans,” Schumer said in a statement.

You jump in the fight, Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., called for the Senate judiciary Committee to hold a hearing on “escalating politicization of” attacks on the Ministry of justice and the FBI.

“During my four decades in the Senate, I have never seen before, our nation’s career, apolitical law enforcement authorities defamed as the personal and the public from the politicians — in fact, by our President,” he said in a statement. “And I’ve never been so worried that the walls serve to protect the independence of law enforcement professionals dedicated to, including Special Council Müller, are in danger of crumbling.”
