Trump sends envoys to Middle East
The American president Donald Trump sends his son-in-law Jared Kushner and negotiator Jason Greenblatt to the Middle East to with regional leaders to discuss a “path to substantive Israeli-Palestinian peace talks,” said an official of the White House.
The deputy national security adviser Dina Powell will also join us on the journey, which encounters are on the programme with leaders from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
“While regional discussions play an important role, can peace between the israelis and Palestinians only through direct negotiations can be achieved. The United States will work closely with the parties to progress toward that goal to the books,” said the official.
