President Trump confessed in an interview broadcast Sunday that he would be with a view to the appointment of Jeff Sessions as his attorney General his “biggest mistake” as President and said that if he would make it, he knocked someone else.
Trump was on NBC’s “Meet the Press” when he made the comment. Meetings last November came shortly after the mid-term elections—after strong public criticism of the President. It is the culmination of the Mueller investigation, and Trump was openly critical of meetings, the decision to recuse himself from the probe at the beginning of 2017.
At one point, Trump said: “I have the attorney general. It is very sad,” he said. Trump is the disappointment at the meetings was not only the Russia probe. He said he was satisfied with “the border” and “numerous” other problems, the sessions’ office affected.

“Every President deserves to be Attorney General, you have tweeted the confidence in,” Trump to Sen. Lindsey Graham. “I believe that every President has the right to their boxes, these are not life appointments. You serve at the pleasure of the President.”
