Minister of defense James Mattis, says the exercises are in progress, as Pyongyang tests threatens with missiles; national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin reports on the consequences of the aborted U.S. visit to North Korea.

President Trump on Wednesday tweeted that there is “no reason” for the joint military exercises between the United States and South Korea, dubbing you dearly in the description of his relationship with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un as “very good” and “warm.”

But he signalled that he could start over again, if he wanted to, and promised that they would be “very much larger than ever before.”

The President tweeted to a White house statement, in which he said he believed the rogue regime experienced “enormous pressure from China,” in the midst of the “trade Dispute” with the U.S. at the same time, North Korea was the acquisition of “considerable assistance” from China, the “not helpful” Trump.

“Nevertheless, the President believes that his relationship with Kim Jong-Un is a very good and warm, and there is no reason, at this time, spending large amounts of money on a joint U.S.-South Korean war games,” Trump tweeted. “Besides, the President can immediately begin the joint exercises with South Korea and Japan, if he so chooses. If he does, you will be much greater than ever before.”

…Differences, they will be solved in the time of President Trump and China’s President Xi Jinping. Their relationship and the Band remains very strong.

The statement went on to insist that all questions between the United States and China would take care of the Trumpf and the Chinese President Xi Jinping, a “very strong” relationship.

Earlier Wednesday, Minister of defense of Jim Mattis in a statement that three military exercises were suspended ” to negotiate space for our diplomats, the verifiable, irreversible and complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”

“Our military posture has not changed since the completion of the Singapore summit and no decisions, all future exercises were made about the suspension,” he continued, adding that the Alliance between the United States and South Korea was “ironclad.”

After his June meeting with Kim Trump promised to end the war games with South Korea.

Earlier this week, Trump said he’d asked Secretary of state Mike Pompeo cancel a planned trip to North Korea, citing inadequate “progress” in the direction of denuclearization, while also faulting China.

“I did not ask, Secretary of state Mike Pompeo, to go to North Korea at this time, because I tweeted the feeling that we are making sufficient progress in relation to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula,” Trump. “In addition, because of our much stronger trading position with China, I don’t think they help with the process of the denuclearization of how you once were (in spite of the UN sanctions that are in force).”
