President Trump said he would be willing to listen, to foreign governments, when they approached him and provide him with information about a political rival.

“I think I would want to hear it… I think you might want to listen to, there is nothing wrong with listening,” he said.
“If someone called from a country, Norway, Austria, [and said], ‘we have information about their opponents’ – oh, I think I would want to hear.”

The President continued in the interview: “Someone comes to you and says, ‘hey, I have some information about your opponent,’ call the FBI?
“I’ll tell you what, I’ve seen a lot of things about my life. I don’t think in my entire life, I have always considered the FBI. In my whole life. You don’t, call the FBI. You throw someone out of your office, you do what you do.”
When pressed on the question of Stephanopoulos, Trump replied: “Oh, give me a break, life does not work that way.”
