President Donald Trump is expected that the signing of an executive order calling for the creation of a U.S. Space Command in the coming days, U.S. officials told Fox News on Monday.
The movement falls short, the creation of a new branch of the US military, a “Space Force”, but the officials say, could be the next step.

Officials say to expect Fox to make Vice President Pence, the announcement Tuesday, calling for new U.S. Space Command in a scheduled speech at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. NASA is not part of the new Space Command, and remains, a civilian unit, officials say.

The U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Command operated, since 1982, at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado.
The new command would make its mark by it on par with the current fighter commands such as U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) responsible for U.S. forces in the Middle East and in Afghanistan, the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and the U.S. Cyber Command.
The U.S. Space Command there was in this same capacity from 1982 to 2002. After the 9/11 attacks, it was moved under the U.S. Strategic Command, responsible for all US military nuclear weapons.
