President Trump is considering the appointment of Washington lawyer Pat Cipollone, as his next White House counsel, sources say, Fox News.

President Trump is considering the appointment of Washington lawyer Pat Cipollone, as his next White House counsel, sources say, Fox News.

Cipollone is a former justice Department lawyer, is with the law firm Stein, Mitchell, Cipollone, Beato and Missner.

Earlier this week, Trump, White House Counsel Don McGahn said plans to leave the Trump management according to the upcoming confirmation vote for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Cipollone area of expertise is commercial litigation, but he also has the advice to trump is outside the legal team. A source called him “advice to the Council.”

“Pat Cipollone is a brilliant lawyer,” said Jay Sekulow, a member of the Trump’s legal team. “I had the privilege of working with him and can confirm his ability, integrity and knowledge of the law. If selected by the President, he would be an excellent White House Counsel.”

To expect McGahn departure. Fox News reported earlier this summer that McGahn had expressed the desire to leave, the White house, and he could be replaced by the former George W. Bush aide flood Emmet.

Sources say, the flood is still in the running – although it is unclear whether the flood wants to give up his private practice, for the time it would take to serve as White House counsel.

Trump had announced that the McGahn news via Twitter.

The announcement caught at least one senior Republican, surprised. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley demanded to keep Trump in his White house counsel on board.

“I hope it is not going to leave true McGahn, WhiteHouse Council. Can U not tweeted to let that happen,” Grassley, R-Iowa,.

McGahn served as trump’s top lawyer campaign, during the campaign for the presidential elections in 2016.

The announcement of his departure comes amid revelations McGahn fully cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the team will explore Russia’s attempted interference in the election of 2016.

Trump has said he approved McGahn cooperation and its legal team has the revelation to argue that the investigators spent more than 30 hours with McGahn, it is time to wrap up the probe.

First, The New York Times reports, McGahn covered the talks with Mueller’s team moments surrounding Trump’s decision to fire former FBI Director, James Comey, and his preference was reported that state attorney General Jeff Sessions of the examination monitor. Sessions ultimately recused themselves.

John Dowd, Trump’s former lead outside lawyer, told Fox News earlier this month that “Don McGahn was a very strong testimony for the President.”
