Trump, in Japan, met Emperor Naruhito in front of the press conference with Abe

President Trump on Monday became the first leader of the world to meet Japan’s new Emperor, Naruhito, to speak before a much-anticipated press conference, where the President is expected, on issues from trade to North Korea.

The President celebrates the tiring trip to Japan, where he said he is making progress on a trade deal, in addition to taking in the culture.

The President and the first lady, Melania Trump, launched on Monday, the formal visit to the new Emperor and Empress Masako with shaking hands and greetings to Japan’s Imperial Palace.

Naruhito ascended to the throne on 1. May open, what is considered to be the era of the “Reiwa” or “beautiful harmony.”

Trump then went on to Tokyo, the official state guest house to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. You will later at the joint press conference at Akasaka Palace.

It is the second long day of the meeting, the trump and Abe, but the President of the 4-day trip has all the shops that he and Abe enjoyed a round of golf on Sunday, took in a sumo match, and a couple for dinner with their wives had to.

“We were able to exchange our views openly in a comfortable atmosphere. It was wonderful,” Abe said.

The President said on Saturday that the trade had been the negotiations with the Japanese Prime Minister, to move forward, especially in respect of beef and agriculture.

“A lot of progress in our trade negotiations with Japan,” Trump tweeted Saturday. “Agriculture and the beef is strong in the game. A lot will wait until after the July elections, where I expect large numbers!”

In a speech to business people in the U.S. ambassador’s residence, Trump a trade advantage, claiming that Japan has enjoyed, but that the two countries were working on a bilateral trade deal.

“I would say that Japan has a significant edge for many, many years, but that’s OK,” Trump said. “Maybe that is why you have to so much to me.” He added that “we are a bit more fair.” He suggested that the barriers to U.S. exports will help to achieve this goal.

In addition to trade, Trump told the media that he and Abe also covered topics, including the military.
