Trump in a bubble? Media to blame insular, red-state strategy

nearvideo-Howard Kurtz: Why, in the press, in its own bubble, get the etching can Trump approach

It is easy to see amusing, to say the maestros of the mainstream media, to win that Donald Trump is re-election the wrong way.

Not only that, almost all of its residents to see Trump lose right up until that November morning in the year of 2016, The New York Times had a choice of meters, at the end gave Hillary an 85-percent chance to win: “Mrs. Clinton, the chance to lose is about the same as the probability of an NFL kicker finds a 37-yard field goal.”

And it was far to the right.

So, maybe this is the type that the mere journalists is not something about the elections-and-white to win.

But in a piece in yesterday’s Times suggested that the President is pursuing a very strange strategy, if he wants a second term.

Now, there are a lot of good information in this story. I agree with some points. There are head-scratching moments when I can’t figure out how to extend why is Trump to be steadfastly loyal, but short-of-a-majority base.

Why, for example, has Trump, step on the filing of the Müller report — a very good story for him — a move to ObamaCare, this was a terrible story for him? Why did he have you pick up some of his top aides and a suit of junk the law, if he has no plan, after three failed attempts at the repeal with a Republican Congress? I have no idea.

I know that to many journalists and commentators live in a liberal urban bubble, and I’ve been saying that for decades.

President, can also be trapped in a bubble, and that is the focus of the Times story, stating that the current one is complete, almost hermetically sealed.

“He eats almost every meal in the White house or on properties that he owns. His presidential trips are largely limited to red-state election events with adoring crowds, short presentations of surveying natural disasters, government travel abroad and a handful of attacks on factories. His most consistent interaction with the Americans, the steady diet of tweets he sends you.”

During the Times of the bubblicious recognize the nature of each presidency, the paper says Trump is probably because, life “in an echo chamber of his own, is an approach to the presidency is increasingly tested, as Mr Trump begins his campaign for re-election.”

Translation: This is obviously not working.

A look at Trump’s travel “shows that the President has spoken to audiences that already agree with him, with the exception of his journeys to natural disasters, to respond … He has spent 82.5 percent of his presidency at the White house, and has visited a property he owns at 224 out of 796 days, or 28.1 per cent, he was in the office.

“He has visited 38 States, but that masks the extent to which he has of his time in the States that have voted for him for President: nine visits in Missouri and West Virginia, eight to Texas and North Carolina, for example. Mr Trump continues the pattern through the mid-term elections, in only three campaign appearances in the States, he will not win in 2016.”

Oh, and Trump has eaten only five times at home with the Fans (he has Pennsylvania the beautiful hotel five blocks down, when he wants to go out, or to spread the Palm Beach).

The paper acknowledges that LBJ and Richard Nixon were trapped in the bubbles, the of war and scandal, but says Barack Obama, among others, like Five guys.

I have two big reservations here. To expand while Trump takes to his base, the intensity is also crucial. When he’s not running against a generic Democrat, the level of turnout among his followers the difference between 2016 and 2018.

What’s more, Trump is not only surrounded by helpers, because he watches a lot of television. And while Fox News, his favorite network is clear, it is not clear from his tweet that he is also hate-watch MSNBC and CNN, he hears a lot of criticism.

This is the reason why Trump tweeted yesterday that reviews on these two networks, and he pulled up, “Morning Joe” — “tanked” in the Wake of the Mueller report. (This could be temporary, of course, and Joe Scarborough responded that his show is that the ratings records, and Trump is only at 34 percent, in New Hampshire.)

Now you do not hear a number of experts it is obviously the same as engaging in the real America, but it is not in a windowless bunker.

Trump is not much of a glad-hander. You don’t see him at work rope-lines. He has not the reflexes of those, because he kisses grow in the baby’s environment of retail politics. And yet in this age of social media, not to disturb his followers.

Maybe trump is you need less-than-adoring masses, but it’s a long way to election day.

For his part, the President yesterday, this intake delivered:

“The Fake-News Media is Crazy! You suffer a major ‘breakdown’ have ZERO credibility and respect, & must be, thinking about going legit. I’ve learned to Fake it live-News, the damaged yet never more than it is now. One day, I’ll tell you the secret!”

This is what we in the news business call tease.
