“It should be under the dignity of the President of the United States — the person who has accepted, to denigrate the leader of the free world and personally attack a large American city, and another great American leader,” said Scott, who was accompanied by Baltimore mayor Bernard Young..

“It is clear, however, that it is not under President Trump. The President should be ashamed of themselves,” he said, before he Trump accused of not fulfilling his duties as President.

“We know that Baltimorians and other people throughout the country live in housing which is sub-standard and that, if President Trump and his [housing and urban development] Director … was seriously thinking of the Agency for the benefit of the Baltimorians and the people in cities such as Baltimore, instead of trying to cut the budget for the Agency each year, the change made could be,” said Scott, the reference to HUD Secretary Ben Carson, who attended medical school in the city and served as a leading neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

After the Saturday-afternoon statement from Scott, trump doubled down on his criticism of Cummings, tweeted: “Elijah Cummings spends all to hurt his time with the attempt of innocent people by mistake.” He does NOTHING for his very bad, very dangerous and very badly run. The district!” The tweet, a video, which allegedly show a run-down area of West Baltimore.

The Videos include a female voice, the whining that you “added concerned about the children at the border, but this is how the actual US citizens have to live and deal with it,” she said.

“Mr. President, I’m going home to my district every day,” Cummings tweeted responded to Trump the first broad side. “Every morning I Wake up and I go out and fight for my neighbors. It is in my Constitution, is even compulsory to carry out the supervision of the Executive. But, it is my moral duty to fight for my voters.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Cummings defended as a “champion in the Congress and the country for civil rights and economic justice, a beloved leader in Baltimore and a deeply valued colleague.”

“We all reject racist attacks against him and the support of its steadfast leadership,” added Pelosi, a Baltimore native.

Sen Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, tweeted on Saturday that Trump the attacks were tied to his ongoing investigations of the administration.

“Here’s tweeted, what’s really going on,” Sanders. “@RepCummings has been the revelation of the error of the trump management and free of the greed of Trump’s friends in the pharmaceutical industry, and our racist President is not like that.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Fox News said on Saturday that Trump’s tweets as “ugly and racist and you are fueling a part of its General pattern of attempts to, as much hatred and discord in America as possible.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a member of the so-called “team,” the freshman democratic legislator, tweeted the trump card: “Someone removed his phone.

“He has failed as a President and he is to blame anyone but his incompetent self,” Tlaib added. “He is in the strongest position in the *world*, and yet he has no political agenda for the people. Hate agenda doesn’t count.”

NBC News correspondent Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of former President George W. Bush, tweeted their own rejection of Trump’s statement, writing: “I was teaching in West Baltimore. I adore my children, their parents and grandparents. They all want the same thing I want for my children: the opportunity for your children are safe, happy and productive life. Let us think about the language that we use, who does it hurt.”
