Trump closes visit to France with a celebration of Quatorze Juillet
The American president Donald Trump closes his two-day visit to France on Friday in Paris. He is guest of honour at the celebration of Quatorze Juillet.
Donald and Melania Trump were Friday morning on the Place de la Concorde received by the French president, Emmanuel Macron and his wife.
14 July is a national holiday in France. On Quatorze Juillet, the storming of the Bastille in 1789 is remembered. That was the beginning of the French Revolution. It also considers the American intervention in the First world War, this year one hundred years ago.
American and French soldiers take part in the military parade with horses, planes and helicopters on the Champs-Élysées.
