President Trump signs a Directive on the military’s transgender ban

Details released of the new military guidelines

The Ministry of justice on Monday evening, requested an emergency stay to require a decision by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia would be that the Pentagon is accepting of transgender recruits on Jan. 1.

The Trump administration appealed to the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, said the Pentagon is still reviewing the Directive until February but emergency-stay now.

“Without this exemption, the military is forced to a significant change in the standards for the composition of the armed forces before deciding how to resolve this issue,” the government of the movement. “The military leadership has declared that this schedule will place extraordinary burdens on our armed forces, and damage can and military readiness.”

The President, in the course of the summer, announced via Twitter that a ban on transgender service members. But the Directive has been questioned, as in the courts, and a Federal judge last month, said the U.S. military must accept that you are as of Jan. 1.

The new policy is an expression of the growing legal pressure on the issue and the difficult hurdles the Federal government would have to cross in order to enforce, Trump demand.

Fox News previously reported, that potential transgender recruits still have to overcome is a lengthy and rigorous set of physical, medical and mental conditions that make it possible, though difficult, for them to join the armed forces.

Maj. David Eastburn, a Pentagon spokesman, says that the registration of the transgender recruits start Jan. 1 and go in the middle of legal disputes. The Ministry of defence is also investigating the Problem.

Eastburn told The Associated Press on Monday that the new guidelines mean, the Pentagon can disqualify potential recruits with gender dysphoria, a history of the medical treatments related to gender transition, and those who underwent a reconstruction However, such recruits are only allowed if a medical provider certifies that you have been clinically stable in the preferred sex for 18 months and are free of significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas.

Transgender people, hormonal therapy must be stable on their medication for a period of 18 months.

The requirements make it passing difficult for a transgender recruit. But they reflect to President Barack Obama’s administration, when the Pentagon said the ban on transgender service in the past year.

“Due to the complexity of this new standard of care, trained medical officers a medical pre-selection of a transgender candidate run for the military service, which said otherwise, all the applicants meet applicable standards”, Eastburn,.

Aaron Belkin, Director of California’s Palm Center, an independent Institute that does research on sexual minorities in the military, said the 18-month timeline is fair.

“It is a good default, because the Pentagon, the treatment of gender dysphoria are applied to the same standards to all medical conditions,” he said.

However, Elaine Donnelly, President of the Center for Military Readiness, said Trump “has to revise every right to check, or to abrogate its predecessor, the military’s transgender policies, which would detract from the mission, readiness, and combat lethality.” Court judges, she said, are not qualified to run the military.
