President Trump and wife Melania Trump appeared in Iraq on Wednesday to a surprise visit with soldiers and senior military leadership in the Al Asad Air Base. There, he said that it’s because of US military successes against the Islamic state terror group, he can withdraw than 2,000 forces from Syria.
“We are not the fool, people,” Trump said of the service members at the base, which is located in the West of Iraq. “We are respected again as a nation.”
During his first visit to the crisis region of the world, Trump also said that he had to remove the “no plans” to, the 5,000 US troops from that country.
Trump’s visit is his first to a combat zone as commander in chief — on the heels of his announcement on troops from Syria, and the rumor of the removal of thousands of troops in Afghanistan.

Trump said the U.S. mission was in Syria, in order to strip the Islamic state (ISIS) of his military, not a nation builder. He said that a job should be the shoulders of other rich Nations, reiterated his America-First policies and ideology that challenges America’s role as a global policeman.
“I made it clear from the beginning that our mission was in Syria to strip ISIS of its military fortresses” Trump told troops at Al Asad Air Base. to the West of Baghdad.
The President said the U.S. presence in Syria will never be “open-ended”, and that Turkey has agreed to eliminate ISIS radicals.

Trump has drawn the 11-hour flight on a darkened Air Force One with lights out and the blinds, accompanied by a jet escort.
The President appeared at the air force base of National security adviser John Bolton, for meetings with political and military leaders.
No other top-officials or members of Congress were together.
The President spent about three hours on the floor with the first lady.
To visit “President Trump and the First Lady traveled to Iraq late on Christmas night, with the help of our soldiers and senior Military leadership, to thank you for your service, your success, and your sacrifices, and wish tweeted you a Merry Christmas,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.
The President called it “quite sad” that after all the United States has spent in the Middle East, his trip had a surprise for the security’s sake.
Trump’s surprisingly came to visit the region a week after he declared that ISIS is “defeated” in Syria in a tweet, and ordered all the American diplomats and soldiers out of the country.
The first U.S. troops to Syria in the year 2015, during the Obama administration as part of a partnership with the Kurdish forces against the ISIS. A year prior to deployment, the US airstrikes began also in Syria.

“I think a lot of people will come to think of my Art. It’s time to start for us to use our head,” he told reporters.

Trump said security concerns forced him to scrap a previous trip U. S troops in the Middle East.
Last month, Trump, who begins his third year in office next month, hinted he would soon visit, soldiers in a war zone.

In an exclusive interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Trump was asked to host Chris Wallace why he visited the troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan in the two years he served as commander-in-chief.
“Well, I think you will see that happen,” said the President, after Wallace pointed out that Obama and Ex-President George W. Bush, had each visited soldiers in war. “There are things that are planned. We do not want to talk about it, because of the reasons, of course, security and everything else.”
The President previously drew criticism for his decision to visit Arlington National Cemetery to mark Veterans Day, after his trip to Europe. He later said that he “visited” should be a cemetery, but was busy with official business.
