Truck flips onto car on Colorado interstate during high winds

A tractor-trailer flipped on a vehicle traveling on a Colorado interstate during high winds Thursday, but no serious injuries were reported, officials said.

The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Georgetown around 10:45 p.m. local time, FOX 31 Denver reported.

The four people in the Volvo were able to get, and only the injuries incurred, the Colorado State Patrol said on Twitter.

High winds in the area likely caused the truck to roll, according to the CSP.

The portion of I-70 was closed for several hours as a result of the crash.
