Trolls-director working on sequel Lego Movie
The sequel of The Lego Movie is directed by Mike Mitchell. He replaces Rob Schrab, who is from the project has been stepped up because of ‘creative differences’.

Mitchell was last year named as a director of the successful animated film Trolls. The 46-year-old American was previously also responsible for Shrek Forever After, Sky High and Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo. As an animator he worked for the earlier Shrek movies, with this and Monsters vs. Aliens. He has also worked on the cartoon series Spongebob Squarepants.
The Lego Movie was made in 2014 a great success. The first part was worldwide for a turnover of 470 million dollar. The sequel was made in the first instance, for the summer of 2018 planned but was later delayed to February 2019.
Next week appears a spinoff of The Lego Movie in the cinemas with Batman in the lead role. Will Arnett speaks again his voice, Gerard Ekdom is the british Batman.
