Travel advice for Venezuela adjusted
The ministry of Foreign Affairs (BuZa) has Wednesday the travel advice for Venezuela adjusted. Travel to the country is discouraged. The advice is to only travel if strictly necessary. The border region with Colombia should be completely avoided.
Reason is the already tense situation in Venezuela, which is the danger of people ending up in riots and demonstrations. By violent riots over the past weeks deaths.
By the deteriorating economic situation, there is scarcity of food, medicine and paper money. Also, there is in the South American country a lot of violent crime, where foreigners, victims of can be. The ministry recommends people that do go to the country to travel to register with foreign affairs.
