Trainer Preud’homme departs at Club Brugge

Club Brugge needs to find a new trainer. Michel Preud’homme left Monday know no longer continue with the Belgian number two.

The former goalkeeper was since september 2013 head coach of Club Brugge. Last season earned Preud’homme, the Belgian national championship and a year earlier he won with Club Brugge and the national cup.

The 58-year-old Preud’homme was previously head coach of FC Twente. With the Enschedeërs he ran in 2011 on the last day, when Ajax, the title is wrong.

“I have to leave Club Brugge with the best feeling,” said Preud’homme. “I’ve been in four years, good results have been achieved with this club and felt from day one at home. The cooperation with my staff and board was a pleasure and we should be proud of the work done.”

Simons

In contrast to his trainer, continues to Timmy Simons in the coming season to remain active for the Club. The 40-year-old midfielder remains available as a player, but with a different role.

“I feel I’m still too fit to stop and do another year, but in a different role. I give the aanvoerdersband by and will focus on my role in the locker room to play as a mentor for the younger players.”

At Club Brugge, the Dutch Ricardo van Rhijn, Stefano Denswil, Ruud Shaper and Lex, After all, under contract.
