Traffic Rotterdam henceforth live to follow
Road users in the traffic on nineteen places in Rotterdam now live. In those places are 24 cameras installed that the situation on the road keep an eye on.
That’s how the road-users to see where the pressure is to than possibly any other route to take or the ride. The test should ultimately lead to fewer crowds on the known nodes in the city.
Alderman Pex Langeberg installed the traffic system Monday in the emergency room of urban management at the Kleinpolderplein. In the coming months, the system was expanded with cameras along the highways around Rotterdam.
The new system is, according to the alderman a logical step because people are increasingly livestreams want to have to see how it stands with the traffic. “A red line on a map on the internet is not enough, when we saw all kinds of calls,” says Langenberg.
The cameras are placed so that pedestrians, cyclists and motorists are not identifiable and license plates are illegible. The images are also not saved.
The images are to view on the website rotterdamonderweg.nl.
