TOKYO (Reuters) – Toyota Motor Corp said on Friday it would develop a battery-electric vehicles (EVs) and the batteries, with the chinese BYD Co. Ltd., and the expansion of its Chinese partner to build affordable EVs, the world’s biggest car market.
In a statement, a Toyota, and the Chinese electric-car maker said that they would develop sedans and sport utility vehicles, which are sold under the brand name of Toyota in China for the year 2025.
Earlier this week, Toyota announced a collaboration with China’s Modern Amerex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL) to provide and are developing batteries for low-emission vehicles.
