Toussaint to the semi-final, world CHAMPIONSHIPS 100 metres backstroke
Kira Toussaint has Monday the semi-finals of the 100 metres backstroke achieved at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS in Budapest. With 1.00,52 she set the fourteenth time in the series.
The first sixteen swimmers qualified for the semi-finals. The Canadian Kylie Jacqueline Masse took 58,62 with the fastest time.
The 23-year-old (will debut at the world cup excellent tactical and technical skills. At the world cup short-course, she was already eleventh, and twelfth in the 100-meter backstroke. At the 50 metres, she knew even a ninth-place books. Last year at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she came no further than the eighteenth place in the 100 metres.
Monday night is the semi-finals on the program for Toussaint. The final is a day later. Toussaint is Wednesday in action at the 50-meter backstroke.
Kyle Stolk swam with 1.47,71, a personal record in the 200 meters free battle. His previous best was 1.48,21.
The 21-year-old South African-born swimmer was fourth in its series. In the last series should prove to be or have time enough for a spot in the semi-finals.
