The hearing is the latest step in Cohen’s transformation from a trusted legal adviser to the President of a public antagonist that has already worked together and trusted, extensively against him. It is likely to pull the curtain back on the most important episodes with trump personal life and business transactions, including the hush-money payments to women, and a planned Moscow-real estate deal that prosecutors were dissecting, for months.

Cohen has, by a trusted legal adviser to the President of a public antagonist, has been cooperating fully with the Prosecutor’s office. This led to Trump called Cohen a “rat.”

The President supplemented his feelings towards his former lawyer in an interview on Fox News with Jeanine Pirro.

“I was a client of his, and said to the attorney-client privilege” Trump. “But he is in trouble, on some loans, and scammers and Taxis and stuff, I know nothing about it, and to have his sentence reduced, he says, ” I have an idea. I’ll give some information about the President.'”

Trump added: “There is no information…He’s trying to have his sentence reduced. So it’s pretty sad. It is weak and it is very sad to see such a thing. I could not care less.”
