Top Grammy winners of all time

Expect grammy’s awarded next month at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards on Jan. 28 in New York City.

This year, Jay-Z leads the pack with 8 nominations. For the rapper, a 21-time Grammy winner-with a nomination for Best Rap/Sung Performance with his wife Beyonce, who has won 22 grammy’s.

The pop superstar, but can not (yet) claim the title for most grammy’s won. Read on for a look at ten artists who have won the most grammy’s, according to the awards show website.

Georg Solti, 31

Although he died in 1997 at age 84, Solti is still the man to beat, who won 31 grammys. Solti’s career has more than 20 years as musical director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Quincy Jones, 27

The music industry titan Quincy Jones has won 27 Grammy Awards.

The music industry titan, and musician won 27 grammys, including Album of the Year for the Michael Jackson hit album “Thriller.”

The 84-year-old remains active: he is co-founder of Qwest TV, which Rolling Stone reports is a jazz-video-on-demand subscription service, which launches later this month.

Alison Krauss, 27

The 46-year-old artist, “holds the distinction as the female artist with the most grammy’s, and the woman with the most awards in the Country Field,” says, adding that she “shares 14 of her wins with her band of almost 30 years, Union Station.”

Krauss is currently for 2 awards: Best Country Solo Performance (“Losing you”) and Best American Roots Performance (“I Never did anything For You”).


Pierre Boulez, 26

“Pierre Boulez has his grammy’s performance of the work of the famous 20th-century composers as Béla Bartók, Alban Berg and Claude Debussy,” says.

Boulez’s career, the lead of the New York Philharmonic and the BBC Symphony Orchestra during the 1970s. He died in 2016 at the age of 90.

Vladimir Horowitz, 25

Vladimir Horowitz won 25 grammy’s.


Vladimir Horowitz, who died in 1989 in his 80s, won 25 awards.

“Playing the Piano consists of a healthy mind, heart and technical resources,” the pianist and composer once said, according to WNYC. “All three should be equally developed. Without common sense you are a fiasco, without technique an amateur, without heart a machine.”

Stevie Wonder, 25

Stevie Wonder has won 25 grammy’s.

Singer Stevie Wonder has 25 grammy’s. He won a Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals (“For Once in My Life”) in 2007.

Now, 67 years old, Miracle stays on the stage. He has performed on his albums “Innervisions” and “Talking Book” as part of a House Full of Toys benefit concert earlier this month, Billboard reported.


John Williams, 23

The american composer John Williams has won 23 grammy’s.

You would not know that John Williams’ face, but you may have heard of his music in the cinema.

“Of the 23 GRAMMY wins, Williams has earned 12 in the Music For Visual Media Field and six for his work on the Star Wars franchise, including his most recent on the 59th grammy’s for Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, according to the website.

Williams is also behind the soundtrack for the latest Star Wars episode, ‘ Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”

Beyonce, 22

Beyonce has won multiple grammy Awards.

Beyonce most recently won grammy’s in 2017 for Best Urban Contemporary Album (“Lemonade”) and Best video (“Formation”).

Recently, she and Ed Sheeran released a duet version of the song “Perfect” in November, Billboard reported.

Chick Corea, 22

Chick Corea has won 22 Grammy Awards.

Chick Corea also has 22 Grammy Awards. The jazz pianist and previously performed at the 2004 grammy’s with the Foo Fighters, are artist profile says.

Corea, 76, is still active, with a choice of 2018, with tour dates scheduled, including stops in Seattle, Los Angeles and New York City.

U2, 22

The irish rock band U2 has won 22 grammy’s.

The Irish rock band’s first grammy award for Album of the Year (“The Joshua Tree”) and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal (“The Joshua Tree”), both of which they won in 1988.

The band was recently nominated for Best Rock Album for their 2014 release “Songs of Innocence.” The award instead went to Beck (“Morning Phase” in 2015 the grammy’s.
