Minnesota sen Amy Klobuchar on Sunday defied calls by other high-profile Democrats to the abolition of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agency, put a damper on the far-left proposal, which has gained mainstream traction in the last few days.

“We are always going to have immigration enforcement,” Klobuchar said on ABC’s “This week.”

“I think we know that,” she added. “We are a large country with large yards, so for me, the question is what these guidelines are.”

New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, a potential 2020 presidential candidate and mayor, Bill de Blasio, both in favour of the abolition of ICE cream this week. Another possible presidential candidate, California Sen. Kamala Harris, said the officers should “re-examine” ICE cream and “thinking and start from scratch.”

And Massachusetts sen. Elizabeth Warren called for “replacement-ICE” in a rally on Saturday.


But Klobuchar refused to confirm that approach, and instead insisted that, should the focus on the immigration policy.

“I think it is necessary to change the policy and the people who make these policy terrible decisions, such as the separation of children from their parents is,” she said on “This week.”

“I’m just terrified of how this administration has been talking about immigrants,” she added.

Also on Thursday, Connecticut democratic Sen., Richard Blumenthal, echoed Klobuchar, the messaging, the say, “the abolition of ICE cream will not achieve anything, unless we change the trump policies.”

The growing influence behind the push-to-get-rid-ICE, – said at the beginning of this week, with the liberal primary Challenger, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez-the shocking victory over Rep. Joseph Crowley, D-NY, a member of the party leadership.

Ocasio-Cortez emphasized their support for the abolition of ICE cream during the campaign, and even protesting outside of an ICE center in Texas.

Only Fox News ” Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures,” President Trump speak of Democrats said the campaign to abolish ICE risk disaster at the ballot box.

“Well, I hope you keep thinking about it,” Trump said. “Because you are going to be such a hit.

“You know, ICE-cream, or added to, the guys that go in and take out the MS-13, and you take them out,” trump. “Because they are a lot harder than MS-13, such as by a factor of 10. … You get rid of ICE, you are going to have a country that you are going to be afraid to walk out of your house.”
