Democratic presidential candidate Tom Steyer grew emotional during a Fox News interview on Monday, he described a woman he met in Iowa over the weekend, who lost several family members to suicide.
Steyer recalled how he told the woman during a campaign town hall event on Sunday, him on the state of mental health in Iowa.
“And as she was describing this, she mentioned that seven of her family had committed suicide,” Steyer said that while in Iowa City.

The democratic candidate went on to say that interactions like this on the election campaign have taught him that while “we talk about this policy, it is very far from the reality of American life.”
“If you see someone whose family has a flood of suicides, because people get depressed and are not getting the support you need, you will understand how close to the bone that’s how really important this choice is that this country is not in the investment in and support of the people, that people hurt you intentionally,” Steyer said. “It is not right. And this is what comes out of it to me.”

He then appeared to gag, as he said, “I see the lady, as on my team. I don’t want to make someone, the people in my team.”
Steyer, the liberal billionaire environmentalist, has long urged President trump, for the prosecution, has struggled to gain traction in the Democratic race. A Fox News poll of the Democratic field on Sunday Steyer shows released with 1 percent support at the national level.
