Tom Hiddleston to make Broadway debut in ‘the Betrayal’

Tom Hiddleston has gained acclaim for his take on the comic-book villains, and spies, but they are recent and not shown on the big screen.

“The Avengers,” a star of his Broadway debut later this year, starring in a revival of the Harold Pinter play “Betrayal,” according to Deadline. Hiddleston’s co-star in a production of his “Daredevil” actor Charlie Cox, and British actress Zawe Ashton.

At the outlet, and the aforementioned cast of part of an original run on London’s West End earlier this year, and they will be returning to the show in New York City, the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre this summer, in a 17-week run. Examples of “Betrayal” at the beginning of August 14th, before the official opening on the 5th of September.

In a previous production of “Betrayal” and the hit Broadway show, back in 2013, featuring James Bond star Daniel Craig in the lead role.

Jamie Lloyd’s revival of the film director and producer, spoke to Deadline about the upcoming show, saying that he was “very happy” with the American public will get to see Hiddleston’s performance along with the rest of the cast.

“Look at this outstanding cast of the new life of Harold Pinter’s greatest work, is one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences of my life in the theatre,” Lloyd said. “I am very pleased that the American public have the opportunity to bear witness to their dazzling performances.”

Before being launched to the international reputation of the popular “Thor” villain Loki, Hiddleston was already an established theatre actor, the pursuit of a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Newcomer in a Play for 2007, to his role in the play “Cymbeline.” He also played the lead in 2017 to a British production of william Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.”

Hiddleston also made headlines earlier this week when he confirmed rumors that he will be starring in a “Loki” television series, Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.

“All I can tell you is that it is known as ‘Loki’,” Hiddleston told The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday. It’s a brand new beginning. however, I can’t explain why.”
