President-elect Donald Trump appoints former Goldman Sachs banker Steven Mnuchin to his Finance Minister, two sources close to the transition told Fox News late Tuesday.
A source told Fox that an official announcement of Mnuchin nomination could come as early as Wednesday.
Mnuchin had for a long time as a favorite for the Treasury position. Two weeks ago, a business man, and in the vicinity of Trump’s associate, Carl Icahn tweeted that Trump was given Mnuchin for the post.
Mnuchin, 53, became the trump card of the campaign-chair Fund in may of this year. Previously, he worked at Goldman Sachs for 17 years, finally, the company’s technology to perform division.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Mnuchin left Goldman in 2002 and was later set to run a loan Fund, the liberal billionaire George Soros.
