The Senate Intelligence Committee, President of Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen to adjourn a hearing due to” the post-surgical medical needs has allowed.’

The Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, told reporters on Tuesday that members have lost patience with Michael Cohen to move after he asked his scheduled appearance due to illness.

Cohen’s lawyer, Lanny Davis, said on Monday that the Committee had accepted Cohen’s request to move the scheduled Tuesday appearance “due to post-surgery medical needs.” However, sen., Richard Burr, R-N. C., appeared far less pleasant, as he spoke to the media.

“I can, you said that you assure that all is well, maybe there was a way in the Committee, with Michael Cohen is now,” Burr. “… He had a letter for six months to ask for his return. He’s already stiffed us, that they are in Washington today because of an illness. They reported on Twitter a reporter, he was a night with a wild Saturday night, the food in New York with five of his mates. [He] seemed not to have it, no physical limitations, and he was with his wife last night.”

Cohen, President of the Trump the one-time personal lawyer, testified before the Committee in August 2017, but pleaded to be guilty of during this deposition last November, as part of the Special Counsel, Robert Mueller ongoing investigation on alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian officials.

Burr said it would be “clever” interview with Cohen in front of the Intelligence Committee wraps up its own investigation. Cohen is scheduled to report to prison to begin in the next month, a three-year prison sentence after he pleaded guilty last August to federal campaign finance and other injuries.

“I would said prefer to get him before he goes to prison,” Burr. “But, you know, the way he’s positioning himself [of] the coming to the Committee, we can help him to go to jail.”

Cohen was originally scheduled to appear before the House Intelligence Committee on Friday, but the appearance was postponed until Feb. 28. Last month, Davis announced that Cohen ‘ s hearing before the House Oversight Committee would be postponed due to “ongoing threats” against Cohen family from trump and his current lawyer, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.
