Ticketmaster is working on ticket verification using ultrasonic sound
Ticketmaster is working on a new technology to cards to check. Thus, information between two devices to be exchanged via ultrasonic sound.
That writes VentureBeat. The new control system is called Presence and it is developed by the company Lisnr.
Presence works with audio signals at the frequency between 18.75 kHz and 19.2 kHz. The show for ninety percent of the people not to hear. Users leave the sound at the entrance to scan, and directly after that they can walk.
The technology can, as an alternative to scanning of QR-codes or NFC chips work, because according to Lisnr less fraud involved may be undertaken. That is because the cards are not only related to an account of Ticketmaster, but also to a phone. The resale of tickets must be harder.
The two companies would also have plans to make payments within, for example, concertzelen through Presence. It is not known whether, and when, the system in the Netherlands.
