Three shiite bommenleggers executed in Bahrain
Three terdoodveroordeelden Sunday in Bahrain executed. It is for the first time since 2008 that death sentences be carried out.
The three shiites were sentenced to death for a bomb attack in 2014 in which three police officers were killed. They are by a firing squad killed.
The indigenous population of Bahrain consists of approximately 80 percent muslims, of whom an estimated almost three-quarters sjiitisch. They are often disadvantaged on the island in the Persian Gulf that is ruled by the sunni family al-Khalifa.
