On a day time open in Molenbeek no less than three projects of sustainable food. That is done in honor of the birthday of Atelier Big Island, an organization from the capital that vulnerable people are employed.
Atelier Big Island for more than thirty years of work on vulnerable people in the Brussels labour market. For its thirtieth anniversary to celebrate, there are now three issues in, each with their own link with sustainable food.
Atelier Big Island already had a vegetable garden, but that is still a in. On Call Field will the staff grow vegetables and fruit, which then will be processed in the zero-foodwaste restaurant Bel Mundo and the sustainable shop Bell’o. “In this way we realize not only the right to work for the allerzwaksten on the labour market, but to succeed we also have a duurzaamheidspionier.”
Get acquainted with the three new operations can be on 11 October. That day organizes Workshop Large Island not only tours, but also tastings, workshops, concerts and street art performances. (EK)
