Thousands of homes evacuated for flooding in California
The authorities in the Californian city of San Jose have given the order for the evacuation of a thousand homes.
The homes threatened are fully covered to run as a result of the flooding in the area. In the city, a suburb of Silicon Valley with about a million inhabitants, is the state of emergency is declared.
As a result of heavy rainfall is the Coyote Creek out of its banks entered into force. All districts are therefore under a layer of muddy water. Rescue workers try with boats, people to dry ground. Firefighters go door-to-door to advise people a safe place to search.
The expectation is that the water level continues to rise. As yet there are no casualties, but surely three hundred homes are zwaarbeschadigd.
