This weekend no trains between Amsterdam and Schiphol airport
This weekend there is no train traffic between Amsterdam and Schiphol airport. ProRail is working on the overhead lines of the rail around the airport. In addition, there are concrete beams placed above the track at Badhoevedorp for a viaduct that’s part of the new A9.
The work will begin in the night from Friday to Saturday and last until Monday morning 05.00 hrs. Travelers should take into account extra travel time, which can be up to a half hour. The NS put buses in to travelers to capture and on the stations of Schiphol and Sloterdijk are porters deployed to travellers to help with their luggage.
Around Schiphol ProRail is busy at work. The number of tracks over a length of 8 km was doubled so in the future more trains to drive.
