Maaike de Waard and Kira Toussaint have Wednesday, not placed for the semi-finals of the 50 metres backstroke at the world championships in Budapest.
Kira Toussaint finished sixth in her series in 28.30. Thus, she was seventeenth, while only the best sixteen qualify for the semi-final battle places.
The Worth (20) tapped as the fifth in her series in a time of 28.42. She was eventually nineteenth.
The Chinese Yuanhui Fu placed with 27,21 fastest for the semi-finals. Toussaint (23) ran aground Monday in the semifinals of the 100-meter backstroke.
Ben Schwietert failed to qualify for the 100 metres freestyle. He finished fourth in the series in 49.41, but that was not enough to get by the best sixteen to finish. The 20-year-old Schwietert finished in 31st.
